Role: Mechatronics development

As a team member of the Tech United (RoboCup Soccer World champion for 8 years), I am working on humanoid robots, implementing control algorithms and improving mechatronic stability for the RoboCup competition.

• Currently developing a foot pressure sensor array for contact detection, mass distribution estimation and gait optimization of a humanoid robot.
• Implementing fusion with IMU and encoders to help with odometry drift, real time localization and state estimation.
• Developing a power supply for the Booster T1 humanoid robot involving power electronics and integration.

Designed a Smart Spoon for Parkinson's Patients. This device utilizes active stabilization technology to counteract hand tremors.

Co-founded an educational robotics startup to teach young students about STEM through hands-on workshops.

• Designed and developed technical curriculum for software logic and mechatronic design.
• Mentored 200+ students in hands on STEM related courses from foundational electronics to advanced competition robotics. Led competitive teams to international winnings (WRO, RoboCup).
• Coached students on strategy, algorithmic thinking and debugging under high pressure competition conditions

Currently developing a 5 Degrees of Freedom robotic arm designed to learn about remote surgical assistance.

Implementing inverse kinematics and trajectory planning algorithms in ROS 2 to achieve precise motion control for a 5 DoF arm to understand more about surgical robots and precision systems.

• Developed an autonomous rescue robot using Raspberry Pi and Python to navigate disaster zones and identify survivors using computer vision.
• Implemented a self trained machine learning model with TensorFlow for real-time object detection and tracking.

• Developed a digital twin in Simulink to model system dynamics and tune parameters before physical testing.
• Implemented a sensor fusion algorithm to process real world sensor data from the IMU.
• Built a wireless PID tuner allowing live tuning of Kp, Ki, and Kd values.
• Achieved stable equilibrium with a deviation of <5 degrees under external disturbances.

• Designed and built a flywheel energy storage system to capture and recover kinetic energy, simulating regenerative braking.
• Modeled the flywheel assembly in SolidWorks and calculated moment of inertia to optimize rotational energy storage.
• Developed a PWM motor controller using a 555 timer to drive the flywheel up to ~2300 RPM.
• Enabled bidirectional motor generator operation using a DPDT switch to recover energy and power an LED array.
• Performed experimental testing to measure RPM, energy transfer, and efficiency, identifying losses due to friction and electrical conversion.

Tech Stack: GRBL, Actuators, Mechatronics assembly

• Designed and built a CNC-based drawing and rangoli machine, modeling the full system in SolidWorks and fabricating custom 3D printed parts.
• Integrated stepper motors, belt driven motion stages and GRBL firmware to generate and execute G-code toolpaths from image inputs.
• Extended the project by mentoring an FLL team to develop a rangoli drawing robot, showcased at an FLL Aachen, Germany, international competition.

Tech Stack: Power electronics, Lithium batteries, power management and conversion

• Designed and built a custom 250 W electric bicycle with a DC geared motor and analog throttle based speed control.
• Assembled a 6s5p 18650 Li-ion battery pack and developed a DIY Arduino controlled spot welder (using a 12V lead acid battery) for high current cell welding.
• Debugged high-current power electronics and BMS failures, improving wiring, switching and thermal reliability through iterative testing.
